Attention all TSSS members!

TSSS will be hosting two different workshops to accommodate the different skills levels of its members. Please make sure you meet the requirements for each workshop before signing up.

Bring along your dissection kits to the workshop, the rest will be provided by TSSS. Please note that we will be working with pig specimens during both workshops.

Basic Suturing – 10 March 2020 @ 13:00

The Basic Suturing Workshop is aimed at second and third year students with little to no experience in suturing. It will serve as an introductory course on the basics you need to know.

Once you have completed this course you will be allowed to attend the Advanced Suturing Workshop at a later stage. There are no other requirements to attend this workshop.

Advanced Suturing – 12 March 2020 @ 13:00

The Advanced Suturing Workshop is aimed at fourth and fifth year students who have mastered the basic skills of suturing and wish to improve their technique. Once you have completed this course you will be allowed to participate in the Kalafong Suturing Outreach on Friday nights.

You can only attend this workshop if you previously attended a Basic Suturing Workshop. Please note that the First‐year Suturing Workshop is not the same as the Basic Suturing Workshop.

Please note…

You will not be allowed to attend the Basic and Advanced Suturing Workshop directly after each other. You will get the opportunity to repeat it later or in the following year.
